How To Guide
Step 1
The first step is to find or create the images that you want to use for your paintings. I created my images in Inkscape.
Step 2
Now that you have your images you need to trace them off onto computer paper or sketch pad paper depending on the size of your canvases. Once you have your image completely traced out the way you want it you can move on to the next step.
Step 3
For this step you need some chalk, graphite sticks, or charcoal sticks. I have used chalk but I find that the graphite or charcoal sticks produce a better image on the canvas. Once you have your chosen tool you need to use it to color onto the back of your paper that you traced your image. Make sure you saturate it really well and you color every part of the back where your image is on the front. Now you are going to lay your paper with the colored side down onto your canvas and retrace the whole image again. When you are finished your image should be transferred to the canvas and ready to be painted!
Step 4
PAINT, PAINT AND PAINT SOME MORE!!!
Step 5
Now that your beautiful artwork is complete you have one final step. If you want your canvas to glow in the dark you need to pick up some neutral colored glow in the dark paint. You are also going to need a clear gloss finish to help protect your canvas and make it easier to clean without damaging your artwork. I have posted links for the products I used below if you want to use the same ones. I mixed the glow in the dark paint with my gloss and I painted on 3 coats. Don’t forget to let it dry completely in-between. Now you are ready to frame and hang your canvas! If you used stretched canvas instead of panels you can just hang them straight on the wall without frames.
